Were on the Internet with Christian Homes!! If you click on the right you can see us and our "competition"..just teasing!! I just wanted to ask for your prayers with some adoption stuff right now...it has nothing to do with a baby! There is no baby for us so that's not what the prayers are for, but we just have some decisions to make and while we are praying about them, I'd feel better knowing others are to. We just need God's direction and guidance to make the best decision for our family..again, nothing to do with a baby! Thanks

Creative coooking
Well, this is not really cooking, but I am getting creative to get Charlie to eat a variety of foods, ie: something other then mac-n-cheese! I saw this on a food blog I follow and it works great...I can put almost anything on a skewer and it will get eaten. In this picture he had asked for a banana and so I got him some..he then of course changed his mind! I put it on the skewer and away he went!!

Chucky cheese
So, when Bradley returned home from being gone for 9 days, he told Charlie we would do whatever he wanted to do on Monday..first words out of Charlie's mouth..."Chucky Cheese"!! He has been there maybe 3 times and it cracks me up that he remembers it and ask for it! He had a blast a was a totally great kiddo when we told him it was time to leave...oh wait, that was some other kid...mine is almost two and is acting every bit of it!!! Bradley and Charlie got their picture taken there and I thought it turned out great..next came mine and Charlie's..big stinking surprise..Daddy's was better...!!

sorry..
Sorry, I think I may have accidentally gotten peoples hopes up...I added a new ticker to the side bar over to the right. It's an adoption ticker and it is a counter of how long we have waited/are waiting for number 2..sorry for those of you that thought we were getting a baby in 4 months-ish...it counts up each day and tells us how long we have been waiting!!

nothin
Love, Love, Love his hair like this..now only if I could get it like this all the time. Bradley would never let him leave the house like this, but I love his long, messy hair! Notice the rash on his left cheek from the "paint incident"..nice huh!
This is exactly what it looks like....why is this a fun game to little boys??
Notice all the many tan lines!
Someday he will be to old to put his booty on the Internet, but not yet! Turning the light off and on while he is getting ready is a favorite game..I still have his letters in the nursery cause it makes me sad to take them down, but once the next kid is in the house then they can have their name up!

Boyd play time
My BIL Derrick trying to ease Charlie into playing with Ginger the goat..not happening as you can see!
It's all good from the other side of the fence!
Derrick kept trying to tell Charlie that he could ride the goats..apparently Libby does and loves it...Charlie was not going for it so Derrick tried to show him how it was done! We all got a great laugh, but Charlie was no where closer to getting on Ginger!
Feeding the donkey our leftover watermelon..yes, Derrick has both of them and that is Libby touching the donkey
Notice Charlie clutching and pulling on Derricks shirt!
Finally he felt comfortable to touch it
The man of the day..there was no doubts that Charlie knew Derricks name after this day..he calls his name often now..usually followed by some animal that they have out there, but he says his name none the less.
This is how he prefers horses...far away!
Love it!!
Oh yes, this is the other kind of horse he prefers!

Almost..
I have been checking the Internet for the past 5 months..almost 5 months..and I have been anxiously awaiting us being on the Internet..for the adoption. I know that we will almost %100 be chosen by a birth mom who was shown us by the agency..in the "book", not one that just popped into the Internet, but it's nice to watch the Internet and see progress. I have a link on the side to Christian Homes (where we are adopting through) and Generations Adoptions (where our friends are adopting from) and it's nice to watch theirs and see progress made.
I think that right after we got approved (02/16/09) they started having Internet problems..I have check daily since then to see if we were up, with no luck. I know from talking to the agency they were having problems, but I still check everyday! I was checking in the car on the way home from the lake and much to my surprise...we were finally on!!!!!!!!! Only, a minute later I clicked back and we were gone..at least I saw it and managed to get a picture of it!! So, I know they are getting close, but Bradley and I both are okay if we get picked before they fix the Internet!!
No new update really...July will mark 5 months that we have been waiting and I think that if this was our first adoption I would be dying right now..but we have Charlie and that makes this all different. I am so glad we started this when we did, because he is still not 2 yet..if he is almost 3 and we are still waiting..that will be a different story. Yes, I would love to know when and how and what gender and what race....but I am just curious...not impatient at this point. And to be honest..the further Charlie gets to being 2..I am questioning having more children in general!!!! Just teasing...if it wasn't a little difficult, how much fun could it really be!!!
So ,we wait and pray..and trust!! Thank goodness it's in His hands..heavens knows if we were in charge how much we could screw this up!!

Really..
How do they know??? How do they know when your exhausted and tired and "over" the disciplining all by yourself?? Bradley has been gone for 9 days..and Charlie is so over me and ready to have Daddy home!!! Earlier this week he locked me out of the house..I went to get the mail and upon returning..door was locked. I had to go talk to a neighbor that I have not spoken to in the 6 years that we have been here and ask to borrow her phone, don't judge me, and then waited in the 104 degree heat for my super sweet and awesome father-in-law to come let me in..thank goodness my in-laws live close!! So, he knows Daddy is gone and clearly is over Mommy!!
He climbed into the brown cart thing and climbed up to the shelf with shoes..then proceeded to stand up..
And way up top..like 6 feet off the ground I had some face paint. Notice the walls, hangers, clothes, shoes..little bits of paint on it all..
No wonder I could not find it..it was behind the flag..nice
