Baby legs..

So, while I was shopping the other day I grabbed a pair of baby legs for baby #2...no news, I often shop for it..surprise I know!! I am loving the baby legs..they are like leg warmers and can be used to make crawling easier on their knees or they can be worn just because they are so darn cute! I fully plan to put #2 in them..weather boy or girl. I fully understand that I have just a few months with a boy before Bradley snaps and throws them all away..needless to say he does not think they belong on a boy..period..I disagree!! So, I grabbed a pair that can go either way (I love girls in blue) and just to grate on Bradley's nerves "showed" Bradley how they work and I put Charlie in them!! Big surprise he hated them!! And he turned Charlie against them!! The game became "how quick can you get them off"!!! Anyway, we had fun with them that day and I anticipate putting our next little one in them! running to the wash room from me

And this is why mommy does not cut hair..

So, his Mohawk was getting long and it had only been two weeks since a haircut so I decided to trim it myself...check..it went good. Then I decided to clean up around his ears and neck..check. Then I decided to blend, because if I could manage that, then I'd be good for a few more weeks...not so much. I stopped very shortly into the blending and realized I stink at blending and decided to stop while I was ahead and let someone else fix it for me. It was 8:45am and he was getting his flu shot at 9:30..I could totally get his haircut and be on time.....that is, if the hair place opened at 9..which it didn't..nice!! So, we went to the Dr and I was officially mortified the entire time..I honestly think my face was red for the 20 minutes we were there. The back of his hair was the worst so I just "guided him" around by his head...aka, covering the worst spot!! side shot
I giggle every time I see it!! Not to worry though..we left the Dr and headed to Pigtails and Crewcuts and she fixed my mess up...with very little effort!! She did tell Charlie "If you see mommy with clippers, run and tell her NO!!"

Running of the longhorns

Charlie and I had seen the running of the longhorns when we had family in town a few months ago, but Bradley had never seen it...so a few weekends ago we headed out to the Stockyards with the Brooms! I kept telling Bradley how short the actual "running of the longhorns" was and I don't think he believed me when I told him it last less then a minute!! When they had walked past us he goes "Wow, that was really short"..no kidding!!! the simple things can entertain FOREVER!!!!

He was not impressed with us until I showed him the pictures after we took them..then he thought they were hysterical!!!

We packed about $5 worth of quarters in anticipation for these rides...and we used them all!!

Lucky me

I love that I get email updates throughout my day from Allene..today I was super lucky and got three!!!! I thought this one was just way to sweet not to share!!

The zoo..again!!

Can you tell where we have been spending a lot of our time lately!! I think the thing I love most about the Zoo is that every time we go, we see something different..for instance.. always thought this was a black and white tiger...um, it was finally up and moving in a different area and it looked more cream and brown....

Libby and Charlie would hold hands occasionally, but never long enough for me to catch it..this was as good as it got!

Um, he looks way to old to be my baby....

Tutti was giving them the scoop on the horse..and I am sure she was correcting Charlie and telling him that horse was NOT Coke (Laura's horse)...cause now EVERY horse is Coke!!

I thought I had the picture of Libby doing the same thing below this...monkey see, monkey do was the theme all day!!

Sure glad his Tutti would go in there with him cause NO way was I going in...this is in the reptile house..not the regular one..the one in Texas town and it TOTALLY freaks me out..snakes, bats, bugs...gross

I suck it up and take him in, but I am sooo jumpy in there and I really try to keep it at a minimum cause he then starts to act like I do..and lets face it, no one wasn't a wuss for a son!! I am trying to work on the bug thing, but I am not to successful right now!!

Anyway, glad his Tutti is much braver then me!!

He finally got to see a hawk up close and personal!!!..and guess who refused to make his AWESOME hawk noise...stinker!!

The one picture that I have of Libby and me (not a great one either!!)..proof that every now and then my son is behaving enough so I get to love on Libby!!!

He finally did it!!!

I honestly thought it would be a long time before we saw this... but Derrick, Laura, and Tutti managed to get Charlie up on Coke, Laura's horse!!
Despite this look, I was told he wanted to get on the horse and had no problems being up there!!

Thanks Tutti, Laura and Derrick for getting him up there and for all the pictures I got while I was working that day.....I am so stinkin lucky to get a play by play of his day!! Love you guys!!
