Silly Daddy..

So, after a rough night last night with Charlie's sleeping,I came home today and took a nap and Bradley watched Charlie..this is what I find ... This is what his onesie is supposed to say..
This is after Daddy got a hold of it..in case you cannot read it..he covered up the "about me" and just left it at..."Mommy's nuts" ....nice
I tossed this in cause so many of our pics look like this....cause he is always moving
Please take note of our destructive son..he dismantled his mobile while screaming to get out attention..Needless to say, mobile is out of the bed!

Meet Charlie's new BFF!!!

Avery Blake Womble..ie, Charlie's new BFF.. arrived via C-section late Monday night!! Happy to say Mommy and tiny Avery are doing great...doesn't Abbe look great! Charlie and I look forward to many future play dates with Avery and his Mommy!!! Congrats Abbe and Michael..and Cleo!

7 months ish!!!

In late honor of his 7 month mark here are my 7 favorite things about Charlie!!

#1 His Smile

I know I say he is happy all the time, but 90% of the time he is talking, smiling and laughing. His smile is infectious and I love when he gives me the smiles now..not just random smiles, they are meant for his mommy!!

#2 His serious side When he is tired he is usually not grumpy or cranky to much, but rather serious instead!! Which is nice when he is tired that you usually get "serious Charlie" as opposed to "cranky Charlie"..but don't misunderstand..cranky Charlie does exist!!

#3 He is a daddy's boy Not going to lie..at first when I came to the realizations that he just may like Bradley a little more it made me sad, but I am at peace with it now!!!!!! I had been warned by many that Dad's just are sometimes not as interested in all things baby until the baby's are a little older....Well, Charlie and I both benefit from a super involved Daddy that has been hands on since day one, 24/7. It paid off for him cause he is the favorite!!!! I love to watch the 2 of them play and love on each other.

#4 He is pulling up!!!

Before we move on..the crib has been lowered and we were supervising while he was in the bed and he has never been in danger!!!! With that said..he is just doing new things each day and it is just too much fun to watch. I was telling my mom #2..mother in law..that I know everyone else has a baby that crawled at one point, but it was the most exciting thing ever to us!! In one week he is doing so much!! We were on a walk tonight and I asked Bradley if he thought everything would be this exciting next time around..he just gave me the beat down look accompanied by "of course, why not?", but in my head I heard...."Yes sweetie, each child will always be exciting and a new adventure"...Anyway, pulling up is a new favorite trick!..I was just proof reading this..yes, believe it or not I do that, and realized that Bradley changed my "Yeah, sure" to "of course, why not"....

#5 His thumb sucking

I love that he does not need a paci anymore..he kinda likes it every now and then but if he is super tired he can just insert thumb!! I used to not be a fan of thumb sucking..in regards to dental issues, but it just looks to stinking cute. He does not do it often so I am not that worried!! It cracks me up that he keeps his fingers up at all times though!

#6 He can say Momma

This is not his best Momma, but Allene caught it on tape!! I don't think he knows 100% of the time that I am Momma, but he says it looks at me and bust into a huge grin usually followed by a giggle!! Needless to say, I am abusing the "Say Momma"!!!!

#7 He makes us laugh

This was at dinner on Sat night at the Hibachi grill..he was fascinated by the meal begin cooked in front of him with lots of fire and so Bradley and I enjoyed our meal the whole time uninterrupted!! His eyes in this video crack me up..the noise he is blinking at is the cook making lots of fun noises!!

and one to grow on..

I love that he loves Brady so much and gets so excited to see him...he just recently began really reaching for Bradley and I but he has been reaching for Brady for months now!! He sure does love him!!

He's a maniac, maniac on the floor!!!!

The crawling has begun..for real!! It is still so much fun, but I know...in a few weeks I will dream of his immobile days..or so that is what ALL you people keep telling me!! He is at one of those growth spurts where every day he is doing something different and changing so much each day. I really think I saw him roll his eyes at me the other day..I feel certain that Daddy taught him that!!!

This is Melanie, Abbe and me at Abbe's Happy Hour Baby Shower!! We had lots of fun, but this was on Tues night with all the flooding..so no judgements on how we look!!

Okay, so remember how I WAS buying for him in the future...this is a 12 month Halloween outfit. He has 2 Halloween Pj's..and I can maybe get another 2 weeks out of them if I am lucky!! Oh well!!!
I walked into the den the other day and could hear him, but not see him and I started to panic, but seeing as I could hear him, it then seemed silly to panic!! I looked down and the goober is just grinning away..

This was Sunday night..he has improved so much since then. He is across the room in just a minute now. I need to get a picture of him playing with the door stopper on the walls. He finds them in any room and will stay entertained for a good 30 minutes!!

Random Conversation with mom...

Mom:He is such a great baby. Really... sleeping, eating, playing...he is just great!

Amie:He's my child..what did you expect???

Mom: High Maintenance..

Well, I am at work so this will be short!!! Here are some pictures from the last few days!! I almost got a pictire with his feet in his mouth...I am just not fast enough!
Bradley snapped this pic the other day cause it cracked him up how much Charlie was mesmerized by the TV. It's funny now, but not in a few years!! I thought it was funny cause Bradley practically had to squeeze him into this sleeper....it was for sure our last wear!! "fat boy in little sleeper"..it's only funny if you hear Chris Farley saying it!
My OCD and motherhood are learning to be friends!! Here he is with a bitter biscuit and bananas....and they are on him from head to toe. My OCD is tempted to just not even break out those 2 items, but my nice mommy gene kicks in and I cave. We just get more baths these days!! And for all who know me well, are you not impressed that I am feeding him bananas!!

Just love his laugh...and he makes us feel real funny cause he laughs so easily!!

I knew this was coming....at each meal now, we are both wearing his food!!

A woman comes into the ER 27 weeks pregnant..we all are in "panic and getting ready for baby" mode..and then we find out she is not pregnant..but she thinks she...she managed to get an ambulance to get her from home and bring here here..nice. This is only funny cause she did not loose the baby...it never existed..only in her mind...which apparently is a scary place to be!

Park day..prior to snow day

Here are our Park Day pictures!! This one was last night. I pulled out the camera and took this myself, but what cracked me up was that he smiled as soon as he saw the camera....I think maybe he has caught on!! It was not cold this day just that weird Texas weather. I put the hat on in case he got a chill..Love this hat and I am going to be sad when he outgrows it. My waiter at lunch yesterday..who was about 18..asked where I got it..he wanted one for himself!

He loves himself!!

Two post in one day..I know!!! I was trying to entertain Charlie tonight and hold off dinner..he had almost no naps today and was kinda cranky. I wanted to make him eat as late as possible cause I knew once he ate..it was bedtime!! He ended up going to bed for the night at 7pm. So, to hold him off we watched videos of him on blogger..he loves to watch himself. He has now started to talk back to himself!!

Snow days ROCK!!!

This wasn't our usual "Texas" snow...this was real snow!! Our driveway had at least 5 inches on it..all white fluffy snow, not Texas slush!! Charlie liked to look at it out the car window, but he did not know what to think when he was in it..and yes he was in it..I am one of those moms....a fun one!!!!!!!

Not to get sappy..but he is the most awesome thing ever. I cannot believe how much more fun he is every day..and sometimes I still get weepy and sappy cause I cannot believe he is mine!!..ours..you know what I mean!!
