Boo in the Zoo!

On Monday Bradley and I and Charlie went to Boo in the Zoo. Bradley and I love to do things like this and we have long anticipated doing them with our child. We would often borrow our nieces and nephews to go to the park, omni, zoo, etc. We love to do all theses things and now it is even more fun to do with Charlie!! This was our only family picture there and it would have been nice to have a scary animal in the picture, but for some reason they had all nice, calm looking animals around...I guess they were being kid friendly!
Since his eyes are not red, I could not get the glare off them. This was how he stayed most of the night once he got over being in the stroller! Bradley and I joked.."Hey, finally a baby in my belly!!"

It was dark so none of my pictures of the animals turned out. We did get to see a lot for the night time though. Funniest thing was when we saw the coyotes...they were chasing each other real close to the front of the cage..it looked playful so a large crowd had gathered. Once they "caught" each other they proceeded to make baby coyote and the place cleared out sooo fast...guess no one wanted to explain that to their kids!!

This is church last night..Charlie and his betrothed Serenity! Larry is doing his speech of " Do you Charlie take Serenity...!!!"

New York, New york!

No, we are not going there, but some New York friends came to visit!! Grandma, Rex and Cathy all arrived last Sunday and spent the week with Rich and Allene. On Friday night we all got together for a Texas style dinner at the Ways. Aunt Karen came in form Kansas and Gary and Lelia made the long drive from Bedford!! It was a great time and we got some great pictures! This was today. I was folding cloths with him in the Baby Bjorn and I looked down and he was sleeping. I tried to lean him back, but he loves to lean forward with your hand on his face!! He sleeps best with hands, blanket or shirt covering his face!
We were reading last night and he was soooo relaxed. I think we read like 6 books! Bo is looking on to keep a watch on us!
He was laying on the couch while I made his bottle and he turned like this, burried his face in the couch and fell asleep! Since he loves to bury his face I am real glad he sleeps with his apnea sleep system thing! Funny story, it was going off one night..the apnea monitor..and we woke up and it was Bradley's night with him. Bradley started hitting his alarm while I am saying to him.."It's Charlies alarm"..he then comes over to my alarm clock..all while I am telling him, it's Charlies monitor. After he plays with my alarm clock and cannot get it off he just said never mind. I don't think he was every really awake! I got up and moved Charlie back towards the center of the bed and the alarm stopped. The only bad side to the alarm is that it goes off if they get really off centered from the bed.

He does not have a club foot????!!!.....

So, the tittle..random, yes, but that is what I was thinking when my doctor said that to me! He was doing his assessment at his 2 month check up and he pulled him into a sitting position and then let him stand up. He did great, but he wanted to stand on his toes like a ballerina..the Dr's words, not mine. Who says that about a boy anyways.... Anyhow, when he got him standing, he starts telling Bradley and me how this is normal and this is normal, and his foot is not a club foot?????? Did he think for a moment that it was??? My kid has the most normal straight feet..I did not say toes!! Feet!!! I think that was just part of his talk, but what a random way to say it! Anyway, he was 12 lbs even and 23 inches. He is in the 75% for his height and 50% for his weight and 25% for his head. I guess a small head is better then a fat head!! Here are some pictures from last week!
