I found a boy craft

I should maybe preface this with I found a slightly feminine boy craft..per my husband.  I love getting crafty during nap time and I almost always do girl crafts because...well, almost all crafty stuff is geared towards girls. Not all, but most.  So, I made these during nap time last week and I loved them..Bradley died a little bit inside when he saw them, but hey..the boys are 3 and 11 months..I won't dress them like this when their 12:)  And yes, I did make a matching belt (Bradley died a little more at that), but that was a separate craft day and that was all I got done during that 2 hr nap time.  Charlie likes to wear belts, but he has trouble with regular belts..getting them off and on.  This one he can get off on his own..so no accidents=happy mama!
And while I get this is not every one's style...OMGoodness, I think they look stinking adorable in them!!

burn baby, burn

So, I mentioned eairler that I was burning flower-bows..I cannot remember the link that gave me the idea, but if you google it you can get the super simple how to...anyhoo, I wanted to try it out one day.  Problem was the boys were down for a nap and I did not have the right material..or did I?  I have my prom dress hanging in a extra closet..and why I still have it..no clue.  But I did and it was the right material!  So, I got busy and started whipping up what I call prom bows!  I saved some in case I someday have a girl, and the others will be party favors (for the girls) for Eastons birthday party!  The prom bows are the white bows and the other ones are rosette flowers..google them for a tutorial..they are simple and spice up anything!

In addition to cutting up my prom dress I also cut up the scarf from my bridesmaid dress from my brothers wedding.  And yes, you know I tried it on..and yes, it still fits.  I was 16 when my oldest brother got married.so, it still fits almost 16 years later.  No,  I am not small, I'm sure I was just a large 16 yr old!!

I had a helper..:)
Charlie wanted for us to take a picture of each other at the same time!  Pardon the potty in the back ground..at least its flushed:)
You know I tried on the prom dress too!  I tried to pose with my fancy scarf and I cant believe I forgot to put on my gloves for the picture...while the dresses still fit, I don't think I needed spank the first time around!!

reduce, reuse, recycle

So, I did reuse and recycle, but we can pretend I reduced??
I sat down to watch Tv the other night and took this Valentine oneise..that I loved btw
It said "Owl be your Valentine"..come on!

And made a sweet hand-me-down for my sweet friends little girl!..in about 20 min!
I got this idea and tutorial from a craft blog I follow and for the life of me I cannot remember which one...but I take no credit for this..I just copied someone elses idea!
These burned flowers are quickly becoming a new favorite!!

our late valentines

I never really intended to post our Valentines card since I would have had to take a picture of a picture, but since I haven't blogged in a few days..and had no new pics really..I pulled out the Valentines cards.  I don't think I have done cards in the past, but Charlie needed some for school..so I made some for him and some of both boys for family!  I took about 20 pictures..never really got a great one..and Charlie managed to drop Easton only twice...not bad!

I was trying to get a different angle of the boys since the ones where Charlie holds Easton look funny..I don't think I was to successful in finding a pose that worked better..

While I was enjoying all the outtakes...we finally let the torture of pictures end!

This was the Valentine I made from scrap blog..totally copied from The Craft Monkey blog

This was the best I got of both boys!

and the final product..I'll admit..I cracked up every time I walked past the framed one in the house!

still working on it

Any month now..we will be crawling..Easton may be the most laid back kid ever (that's code for, he is still not crawling:)!!  And I'm sooo cool with that, I totally earned it after his brother!

He does get on all 4's and rock..and rock..and rock..just not much actual movement yet!

If someone is behind him, half the time he just does this as opposed to rolling over..he will stay like this looking at someone/something for a good minute or two..crazy kid!

This cracked me up..he was staring at his Daddy..whom he is in love with..and he just stared and it was like he was memorizing every detail about Daddy..he was not tired or in a zone..just totally fixated on Daddy.
I totally get that East..Mommy still has those days!

camera phone

I realized I had some good/fun pics on my camera phone and I had yet to get them off....so here is a hodge/podge of whats on my phone:)
This was not only cute to me, but if you could have heard the booty shaking song he sang while he peed..."Cowboy needs his privacy" sung over and over....it was priceless!

Our parents are so good to send us pictures while they watch the kids...thought both boys looked to cute..and kinda big:(

this kiddo loves the swing!

Momma and Charlie at GiGi's 85th birthday lunch!

Libby Lou riding her horse..I think this one was maybe her daddy's or mommy's ,but she claimed it for the day!

Eastons first time on a horse..I think!

This kid loves Coke the horse...he wanted to ride it with Libby which was so sweet..until he insisted she always sit behind him..still working on sharing!

Playing with our scissor game from Aunt Ange and Jay..this book that you are supposed to cut up has been a huge hit!

Love this one of Grandaddy and Charlie!
