I fear CPS may come knocking on my door..

I know I have been slacking on blogging..and I have decent reasons..to which I will get to in a later post.
With that, I am sorting through 147 pictures taken today and yesterday while we were in Abilene for our final court date for Easton!!!..he is officially ours. This last court date has never really been a huge deal for us since we have really felt that with both boys, they were ours from the moment we got home. Lots of people make a huge deal out of this day and to a lot of people it is a huge day which they were not sure they would get to see...but for us, the biggest part of today was that we are done writing checks for this adoption!!!
The most memorable part of today...just today, cause I have a few really great stories from yesterday:)..but the best of today goes to Charlie. We were sitting in court today and even though I have done nothing wrong, I still get nervous. We were told what to do and what to say..speak when spoken to kinda thing..and answer not nod..which I broke again this time cause I could not make a audible "yes" come out over my tears:)
So the lawyer ask Bradley a question about Easton and uses his full name...which is legally Easton Andrew Thomas Way. Eastons mom ask us to keep Thomas as his middle name and we agreed to honor her request. As much as we don't like double middle names, we did not want to give up our chosen middle name for hers..so we used both and just tell people his name is Easton Andrew Way..so Charlie has never heard the Thomas thrown in. So when the lawyer ask Bradley that question and uses Eastons full name Charlie says..kinda quietly while looking at me.."That's not his name". I gave him a look and told him it was fine.
When it was my turn and the lawyer called him that again, Charlie pounded his hand on the table loudly looked at the judge and me and said in a stern voice "THAT.IS.NOT.HIS.NAME"....at this point it was kinda still funny...
Until the sweet judge ask Charlie if he like being a big brother..to which he says yes. She then ask if he is helpful when his brother cries..to which he says. She ask what he does when he cries, to which he say, "I slap him"..with a big smile on his face.
I.just.about.died.
And then she sent CPS to our house to take both boys away..well, not really, but who's gonna be surprised if they show up...

Embrace the camera

I follow a blog that I really enjoy and she does a "embrace the camera" on Thursdays..you can read about it here to see where her idea came from.
Each month I put our photos from that month into a Shutterfly book that I print out at the beginning of each new year..and every month i make a vow to get more photos of me and the boys. I have not been super successful at it so far, so maybe doing this most Thursdays will help!! Easton has slept a lot today..getting his fourth tooth has been rough on him:)..so there are more of Charlie!

..almost did not put this picture in cause i look so rough..then decided that defeated the purpose!!

this photo is huge, no, not Easton, the photo..well, he is kinda big!! This is huge cause after months of being elevated, Easton is now sleeping flat on his back!!!

way blurry, but I love his sweet face!

and his not so sweet face!!

love.him!!

this was the first picture..he was covering his face with the phone until he realized he got to see the photos!

Museum

Bradley and I and the kids headed out to the museum last week..or maybe it was 2 weeks, I am a bit behind on blogging! Anyway, kids were great and loved it, but they, and by they I mean Charlie, could really have been happy just hanging out in the children's area. We thought he would get so excited about the dinosaur part, but he really could have care less! But in the children's area there was a train table..he was in heaven!! That thing behind him was a "wind tunnel thing"..I was the photographer, I was not reading and learning. Anyway you can throw stuff up it and watch it fly out the top..you mean you can send trash out the top and let it fall all over the floor....yep, he was thrilled!!

Then we moved on to the train table..and Charlie would have preferred to never leave this area again! Notice the trains he has connected..he grabbed all the yellow ones and stuck them together.

..and then daddy attached the red one to the back and you would have thought he cut off Charlie's arm, or worse, took his night-night..
The following is said to Daddy by Charlie with great frustration, anger and irritation in his voice..all of which he later got in trouble for:)
"You do not put the red one on the back Daddy. It does not match and does not go there. You take it off NOW"
all of which caused Daddy to look at Mommy and say the following...with great frustration, anger and irritation in his voice..all of which caused me to laugh..on the inside:)
"Happy? You did this to him"
Hey, just cause I am organized and feel most things have a place..don't judge me!!
I'm trying to get more photos of me and the boys. Since I am the one usually taking the photos, I don't have a ton of me and the boys. I photo shopped the heck out of this photo, but the lighting was terrible...what are you gonna do. This tends to happen when I'm in the photo as opposed to taking them..I'm just saying:)

better lighting.. but couldn't he have gotten a better side of me??..not sure what that side would be, but oh well..I have a photo with Easton this month!!

I didnt do it..

I may have been responsible for a previous "haircut gone wrong"...but this one I cannot claim!
This one is all Charlie:) Mine may have been worse, but his was harder to fix! After we got it cut you cannot really see it as long as I keep it in a mowhawk!....and yes, the scissors have been moved!

Probably..maybe..hopefully!!

With a great amount of happiness..I hopefully...probably...maybe... just got Eastons last prescription formula purchase!!!!!!!!!! We got to the Dr next month and I am praying she will let us switch to a new....less expensive...formula!!! At $60 a can....he is really eating me out of house and home!!!..and at 19lbs...he is no small guy with a tiny appetite!!!! We were lucky enough to purchase it at a discount..but regular formula with regular prices sure sound good right now!!
