A pinterest kinda day

So, I had some free time on my hands to go through all my pins on pinterest...I may or may not have been at work...I'll admit nothing;)
I got a bunch of new recipes that I've been trying out...only one bust so far..but I was finally able to go through all my kid craft ideas!
I chose 10 ideas and thought I could spread them out over the next two weeks. Well, we had so much with the first one that we did 4 that day!! The kids had a blast with them..and so did mama;)

Cloud dough..I have no idea how to link sites on my phone, just look under my board on pinterest labeled "kid craft ideas". It's just 8 cups flour mixed with 1cup baby oil. It's like sand in that its shape-able, but super soft..like clouds;). Kids had fun, and we all smelled good afterwards!

Spoon game! This cracked me up..this was mine and Charlie's conversation..
Me: okay, you ready for another fun game?!
Charlie: yes!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: okay here's the game..we are going to match up letters. Find the uppercase letter on the white spoon and them lay your clear lowercase spoon on top of it! And we can learn letters..both the upper and lower case!
Charlie: you said fun game? This is not fun and this is not a game...I'm out.
Me: did you just say "I'm out?"
Charlie: yes, what my next option?
Me: your next option? This is it buddy..(seeing his disdain for this project)..if you do it, you can have a starburst!
Charlie: pass the spoons, but I don't want a orange starburst.

This kid..he is my parents reward for my childhood behavior!!!

Best of the day!! Filled water balloons with sidewalk chalk paint..when they splat..colors fly!! Mixture inside the balloon is equal parts of cornstarch and water with just a little color. To much color can stain your concrete..I've never had a problem, but just thought I'd warn;). The kids kinda had a hard time breaking the balloons, so I may try out some different style balloons next time! This was their favorite game by far!!! Mixture got on our clothes, but did not stain.

Fuzzy paints. Pan contains a box of baking soda and water and then I dyed some vinegar in separate bowls. Kids used a medicine syringe dropper to drop vinegar in it..then it fizzes up! Both boys liked it and Charlie really enjoyed mixing colors and making new ones! Mixing and making green, purple and orange really excited him!

Can't wait for our next projects!!;)

Random!

Just some of my favorite pictures of the kids...while I'd love to sit at the computer and blog better and more often..like the good ol' days..I think till I get some more free time I'll be blogging from the ol' phone;)

My little artist..he loves to draw and I kinda think he's good at it;)

Baby girl went to the dr last week and for once I have a small-ish baby! Her head and length were at 65% and he weight was 27%...I've never had a baby less then 50% on weight! And she feels like it...she still seems so tiny to me! She was 12# 9oz at 4 months...compared to her brothers 16# 2 oz and 15# 13oz!

When arms go up...eyelids go down!

This is what my husband calls her visor..this does not help my cause with bows..it just feeds his disdain of them!!

I.love.him.....he is so stinkin scrumptious!

I didn't catch her hands like I wanted, but she loves to hold her hands together...like the little lady she is;)

Showing off his "muscles"';)...he just keeps getting slimmer and slimmer..hard to believe he was my rolly polly chubby baby!

Band aids fix everything;)

Easton and Charlie fight..like brothers. I'd be 100% lying if I said it didn't bother me. It's a HUGE issue with me. I desperately want my boys to grow up and be close. I think as I talk to grown men with brothers, I am realizing that is rare.
So, I pray daily for their friendship...and play referee until it comes to fruition! They love each other, but they are ROUGH with each other!! Case and point...

Easton got Charlie. And to be honest...this is the case these days. Remember how I prayed that Easton would start to get a little more aggressive and be less passive....well, we can check that one off the list!! And yes, that was actually request of mine;)

This was Easton in time out..goodness this kid is awesome at making me feel bad for disciplining him;(. I usually didn't feel bad for getting on to Charlie when he was little cause he was such a straight faced no emotion kinda boy. But man, Easton falls apart when you get on to him;(. I'm weak...;(...but not that weak!!

Amazing what a band aid can do!!

All better!!;). Goodness he is adorable......when he's not mouthing off;)

Great morning

While I don't let the kids in our bed when we sleep, I love the lazy mornings when we all pile in my bed together!;). It was a great start to a good day!
