Uh oh..

Charlie asked me on Friday morning if he could "eat at the table with my chair, please"...when he speaks to me in sentences I still get excited and cannot believe he is so big and can talk so good! So when he ask for something that is usually a no, but asks in a sentence that ends with please he usually gets it..for now at least!! He wanted to eat his oatmeal and watch Mickey Mouse...Before you judge and call that TV my babysitter..don't....Because that would be WAY wrong!! That TV is a bad babysitter..he was so into Mickey Mouse that he would not eat..in fact theses next two pictures were taken minutes apart..
NO CHANGE!!.. No movement either..some babysitter. Every few minutes I attempted to get him to look at me and I'd say "take a bite". He really never took his eyes off the TV and just ate like a zombie!! It was fun and all, but pretty sure that won't be happening much more!

Stockyards!

Bradley's family has family in from Austria and so we have been going fast all week showing them Texas..and I don't know how many times I have thought.."What must they really be thinking!!" Allene had planned to go to the Stockyards and watch the Longhorns run ..they do it every day at 11:30 and 4..and I have never managed to do this before!! I actually have not been to the Stockyards in over 10 years so it was a nice visit!

Libby and Laura. Libby was so excited to see the cows and horses..she lives on a "farm/ranch" and has cows, horses, donkeys and much more at her fingertips daily so she was super cool with all the animals...my child was not so cool with them!!

With Papa getting ready for the cows..the fear is starting to set in!! We have seen cows plenty of times before at the Deer Lease and Laura's house and he loves to point them out when we are driving by them. But being that close was not okay with him..freaking out!!! He kept saying "Cows with horns, Cows with horns" really fast..apparently Longhorns are not a favorite of his..and that makes his Daddy smile..you know how he feels about UT..

I took a million and finally got on where they are both looking at me and smiling in my direction!..love her pigtails!

Believe it or not they are loving on each other!

See!!

"Cows with horns"

This was the horses that he was okay with!! And kept asking to ride over and over again! Thanks Papa for all the quarters!
I am sure that he now thinks that all the horses there are broken..cause that was the answer he was given the next 100 times he asked to ride!

We had a great day and I have some great pictures from Friday to get up!!

My baby

There are very few things that are "baby" in our house...it's sad that he is getting so big, but I get that 's how it works!:( I try to enjoy every moment..even the falling down, throw down, "hello, I am almost 2" moments..cause I am realizing it will all be gone to quickly. It was a nice treat to walk in yesterday to wake him up from his nap (that part is never fun!!) and find him sleeping like he did when he was a baby..so stinkin sweet I just wanted to cuddle up to him. Last night when I checked on him before bed he was just like this and sucking his thumb...he is still my baby!!..and from what I understand, he kinda always will be...

Now I know my ABC'S..

Charlie loves to sing..any song. Half the time our ABC's morph into Twinkle Twinkle and then into Row Row Row your boat. I have been meaning to get him on video..but never remember!! If you notice, when he sings his ABC's he is always trying to lay flat on his back..in swim lessons we float on our back and sing our ABC's..and he always hated it so we practiced in the bathtub and now anytime he wants to sing his ABC's he automatically attempts to lay down!
