another catch up..

Well, I think I just may stay behind on blogging this summer!  It's summer..I'm busy..blogging slacks..it is what it is!!
We took Charlie to a Rangers game and it was fun, but dang it was HOT.  We were at the game that set a record for "highest temp at 7:00pm game".  At least it was dollar ice cream night!  We didn't get a picture of the three of us, but we grabbed on of the two of us for the adoption scrapbook...2 pictures down, 30 to go.

We swam with friends...Charlie LOVES Ella...cant blame him..I do too!!

Everyone was supposed to be waving here...

this little guys was whopped and fell asleep here like 5 min later!

just being green and carpooling:)

Dude, he can rock a pink jeep!!

Popsicles in a pool....the only way to survive this hotter then crap summer

we checked another thing off our summer to do list..bowling:)  Charlie LOVED this....loved, loved, loved it!

sweet form

Easton wanted to crawl don the lane sooo bad.  He was less then impressed when we told him no...I guess telling him no is kinda new to him..he does not seem to be adjusting well:)

Not every project is a good one..this was a miserable fail.  I found a site of fun kid things and making a bouncy ball was one of them..our first ball failed..we found a new recipe and it was a bust the second time....oh well, attempting to make it and getting dirty were half the fun!

easton update

I figured it was time for an Easton update! East is 16 months old and continues to be the worlds easiest and happiest baby:)  I think its safe to say that he has more then made up for those rough few first months!  I still describe Easton as super laid back..and most of the time it serves him well.  He doesn't get mad, sad or frustrated easily.  He goes along with pretty much anything we ask of him and really never gives us any difficulties.
The only time it does not serve him super well to be that laid back..when it comes to walking and talking....homeboy is so laid back, the world lazy was once uttered!!  I say he is laid back, but when he wants someone/something he can crawl 90mph to get there..so he can be speedy..when he wants to be.
My pedi...I love him...and he compliments my personality so well.  He is super laid back, I know, shocking that I am not.  Well, laid back pedi finally said that it was time to get ECI..Early Childhood intervention...involved.  I'll go ahead and stop you from your next sentence "Oh, he is fine (insert random child name) didn't walk till they were (insert age beyond now)".  It's not that he is just not walking..its that he has missed a few or more milestones along the way and even after getting his MSPI under control, getting ear infections under control and getting tubes..he is still missing milestones....and not just the big ones like walking.
I have always thought that he is just fine..that he is still healing from his rough start and ear infections..and that he is a laid back second born who is in no hurry..cause if mamma/daddy doesn't do it..Charlie will!  I feel like he is 100% fine.  But I want to give my children every chance to be 100% in all they do..so if help is offered and someone thinks he will benefit from it..I'm on board.
We had our first ECI visit last week and she said numerous times.."He looks great.  I am not doing the full evaluation this week, but he looks great".  I think she agrees that the MSPI, ear infections and tubes played a part in it all...in addition to being a second born!  She did see a few areas that were behind and some that were quite a bit ahead..so we all think that with the right tools..he will be flyin in no time!!  My back would appreciate the break from carrying around 30 lbs!!..and I would love to hear him call me mamma before he turns 2:)

Charlie can swim!!

Mr. Kaleb, Charlie and Mr. Matt

I cannot say enough great things about Mr. Kaleb...Charlie took a one week swim class..one hour a day..and he is full on swimming.  I'm thrilled for him..cause he is just so proud of himself.  He loves to show me all his different swim strokes, dive to pick up sticks and I love to watch him underwater...he has a constant smile on his face!!  So proud of this kid!
Mr. Kaleb actually had him swimming on day one and we just kept perfecting from there...LOVE.LOVE.LOVE. Mr Kaleb!!  I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone in the area!!  I have no clue if these videos uploaded the right way..but grandparents and such will enjoy!

Easton's one year pictures..about 4 months late:)

I got Eastons one year pictures taken late March/early April...and they did not go super great.  The photographer was wonderful, my boys...not so much!  Five minutes into the pictures..Easton is done....put a fork in him..done.  We never got anymore of him after 5 min..so the fact that I have any at all, made me thrilled!!  I couldn't get them on to the computer from the CD and I kept mentioning it to Bradley, but he is so dang busy I hated to bug him.  Well, he looked at it and had it done in 20 min...love him and hate him for that!!!  So, a year late..here they are!!

Hoping that next time I'll finally get a family one and one of my boys together!!!

catch up

So, I am way behind on blogging...I blame summer and for the past week, I blame work!  Here is a catch up post..pardon all the pictures!
We celebrated Tutti's birthday..blowing out the candles is still almost as great as eating the cake for these kids!
There have been many volleyball games..

Of course the girls win every time cause of our mad skills...

Easton loves the water, but he does not have to be in it at all times to be happy:)

I broke down and spent $7 on a pool for the back porch..I figure if it last the weekend then I have gotten my money's worth out of it!!  The boys loved it yesterday!!

For dessert we made turtle cookies

Charlie was THRILLED!!  It was his idea, he saw it on the back of a frosting can and was pumped that he did it all on his own!

Easton was just thrilled to eat a cookie!  He loves so many healthy foods so he almost never eats sweets..and when he does, he lets us know he enjoys it!

see?!

Charlie wanted to give it two thumbs up, but one thumb was busy!!

We spent a night out at my Granners with my mom, aunts and cousins...I got put to shame and went to bed before the "old" ladies!

I had a helper with my homemade pasta..his words "Am I a snowman now":)

These next three are from family movie night, but I thought he looked to cute in all of them...

We made omelets for breakfast one morning and Charlie pretty much did it all by himself.

The omelets are made in a Ziploc bag and then you boil for 15ish min..super easy.  Now that I know this and the bacon in the oven trick..I can have breakfast ready for everyone at the same time...not that I really ever cook a big breakfast..you know how I feel about my house and my hair smelling like bacon!

Charlie tried it when it was done and LOVED the first two bites and then declared it was gross and he was not eating it anymore....

Insert Easton..kid.will.eat.anything!!

I love this..Bradley's face cracks me up..but I totally get this..Easton want to clap your hands..all the time.  Anytime you hold him, he grabs your hands and claps them..until you put him down!  It had gone on a long time this night!!  Easton is still clearly entertained:)!

Splash Park!

Crossed another thing off of our summer to-do list!  We finally went to a sprinkler park/splash park!  I was excited at the thought of visiting with other moms while not having to worry about someone drowning...that part was enjoyable!  I wished I could say that my boys were just loving it, but to be honest we left early because East was super tired and Charlie was being a bit ungrateful.  When we got in the car I unloaded the "You need to be appreciative and grateful when mommy takes you to do fun things..or else we will sit at home the rest of the summer" speech.  We got home and he slept for an hour longer then usual..so maybe being sleepy was a bit to blame for his behavior!  We have been 2 more times and the boys like it more each time..but it would still be a stretch to say they love it:)  Charlie keeps asking to go to a pool "with slides"...I think that is more his style!!

We went with my sister-in-law and some other moms from church...there were 10 girls there and only my 2 boys.....where are boys my boys age!?!?!?!

East was very unsure on day one....he preferred to be out of the water!  Silly boy!

Gotta love girls that take care of their babies!!  Every time Easton would cry there was always some girl there to comfort him.

No reason for this kid to complain..he had constant entertainment!

The amount of fruit consumed at the pool/water each trip is amazing...something about being outside makes it taste soo much better!

I keep catching Easton sitting Indian style criss-cross-applesauce..and it cracks me up to see this tiny person/huge baby sitting like that...I did not fully catch the picture here, but he was on his way.  Can we really not say Indian style anymore?? Really?

Can I say what a fun mom my sister in law is...and I'll go ahead and give in my fun mom card..cause I am just not that fun...but Christy..she's fun.  They were playing "on fire" and of course you have to throw water on the person on fire and drag them around in the water...way.more.fun.then.me. Also, I'm pretty sure none of the kids are going to be swinging me around...it helps that she is 90 pounds soaking wet:)

Looking forward to crossing some more things off my summer list!!
