Day 3..with pictures!!

Well, we have pictures from today!!! We got up early today..as everyday...at 6:30am, which is 11:30am Texas time. I have actually stopped saying " In Texas it is...", we are officially on Kauai time!! Anyway, we got up becauce we were awakened by the below picture..there needs to be a "open season on Roosters"....for the love..make them stop. This is what you see all the time on the island, they are everywhere...and they are LOUD!!
We hung out and watched some football, due to the time change we had football on at 8:00am..nice!
Then we headed to the Waimea Canyons..Kauai's version of our Grand Canyons. I told Bradley on the way up that I had never been to the Grand Canyons and would like to go..then as we drove up and I looked over....wishing I had taken a Zanex...I promptly said..nevermind...I will settle for pictures!


This is the Spouting Horn..it looked cool, but sounded even cooler. Depending how hard the waves hit..the higher the water went..cool!

This is at the bottom of the Canyons..so random..a house and plantation and we never really saw a way to get there...we zoomed a lot to see this..it was way far down.
Theses pictures do not do this justice..when I was about to take a picture of Bradley I told him the background looked fake..it was so pretty and jaw dropping in person.

Day 2

So, let me just tell you how great yesterday was, but there are no pictures to prove it:( For some reason all the pictures I took yesterday got deleted..soooo mad. Yesterday we got up and walked on the beach and...saw 2 seals!! They were Hawaiian Monk seals and I thought they were dead, but the closer we got they moved. We were like 10 feet from them..you were not supposed to get up close and touch them, they are endangered. So cool though, they looked totally dead until they pulled there head up to look at you, then bury it in the sand. One kept scratching his back...too cool. Charlie was not super interested, although I tried to make him understand how cool this was!! We swam in the pool and ocean, laid out, drank some Chi Chi's, did some shopping and just relaxed! I am so mad that I lost all my pictures, but I think I can get most of them again...hopefully the seals..that's the only one that will make me sad! Anyway, all is good here. Charlie has done really well, he is still a little confused about the time change..he sleeps at night, but is restless...and he HATES the pack-n-play they have here as a crib..so, he sleeps anywhere but the pack-n-play most of the time!!!! Nice.....

Day 1..going great!!

Alright, we are here!! The Flight went good...my baby did awesome!!!! He only cried for like 2 minutes and that was when we were sitting on the runway..we got there early and they were not ready for us!! The first flight was 2 1/2 hours and the next one was 7 hours....can we all give Charlie a big hand!!! These pictures are not in order and probably wont be for most of the trip..it takes to long and the connection here is not great...Enjoy! When we got off the plane in Kauai..he was beat..from sleeping all day!
No, we did not pull a Brittany..we were just killing time while waiting to check in..after being held for almost 10 hours, he was not loving his car seat!

Sleeping on the tray table..this worked great the first flight when he just need to be put down, the second flight there was an empty chair next to Mutti so he got some lay down time..maybe 2 hours of the 7 hour flight.

2 post in 1 week...who rocks!!!

Well, I am a little proud of myself!!! I am so productive this week, that always happened before I leave town though. I hate to come home to "stuff to do". So, here are the shower pictures that were promised long ago..late, but at least there here! There are some random pics at the bottom from yesterday and then some of my sweet Sage in her ballet outfit!

There was a camo theme at the shower..and we were thrilled with that! He even got a "real" camo outfit..a Realtree outfit for my hunter friends!!

Soccer was the other theme..he went to his Daddy's soccer games a week or so ago and I could tell he loved it!

This was this morning....just looking out the window...not smiling at me! HE SMILED AT ME 3 DAYS IN A ROW NOW!!!!!!! AND NO, ITS NOT GAS DUMMY, do you smile when you have gas:( First thing in the morning I can get like 5 or 6 smiles out of him...sooooo fun. Today I was ready with the camera over his face and as soon as the camera was there the smiles were no more...he defiantly gets his stubbornness from his Daddy!! (No, I did not eat the cheese!)

This is yesterday....he loves me so much, he never wants me to put him down....he was in the sling almost all day..while I did laundry, vacuumed, did dishes....
By the way if you have a baby or are welcoming one soon..you need this sling..it ROCKS!! I even had to wear him to write my Thank you notes......but I am not complaing..just stating!!
