A pinterest kinda day

So, I had some free time on my hands to go through all my pins on pinterest...I may or may not have been at work...I'll admit nothing;)
I got a bunch of new recipes that I've been trying out...only one bust so far..but I was finally able to go through all my kid craft ideas!
I chose 10 ideas and thought I could spread them out over the next two weeks. Well, we had so much with the first one that we did 4 that day!! The kids had a blast with them..and so did mama;)

Cloud dough..I have no idea how to link sites on my phone, just look under my board on pinterest labeled "kid craft ideas". It's just 8 cups flour mixed with 1cup baby oil. It's like sand in that its shape-able, but super soft..like clouds;). Kids had fun, and we all smelled good afterwards!

Spoon game! This cracked me up..this was mine and Charlie's conversation..
Me: okay, you ready for another fun game?!
Charlie: yes!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: okay here's the game..we are going to match up letters. Find the uppercase letter on the white spoon and them lay your clear lowercase spoon on top of it! And we can learn letters..both the upper and lower case!
Charlie: you said fun game? This is not fun and this is not a game...I'm out.
Me: did you just say "I'm out?"
Charlie: yes, what my next option?
Me: your next option? This is it buddy..(seeing his disdain for this project)..if you do it, you can have a starburst!
Charlie: pass the spoons, but I don't want a orange starburst.

This kid..he is my parents reward for my childhood behavior!!!

Best of the day!! Filled water balloons with sidewalk chalk paint..when they splat..colors fly!! Mixture inside the balloon is equal parts of cornstarch and water with just a little color. To much color can stain your concrete..I've never had a problem, but just thought I'd warn;). The kids kinda had a hard time breaking the balloons, so I may try out some different style balloons next time! This was their favorite game by far!!! Mixture got on our clothes, but did not stain.

Fuzzy paints. Pan contains a box of baking soda and water and then I dyed some vinegar in separate bowls. Kids used a medicine syringe dropper to drop vinegar in it..then it fizzes up! Both boys liked it and Charlie really enjoyed mixing colors and making new ones! Mixing and making green, purple and orange really excited him!

Can't wait for our next projects!!;)
