Vacation!

Things haven't changed much since I was younger....

Growing up with two older brothers was always a treat!  When we would get together for a family picture one of them would always mess with me right as the picture was taken and then I'd move or make a face and be the only one to look goofy in the picture! The most common method of harassment...tweaking my butt..weird brothers!! 

So, things haven't changed to much..someone is still always messing with me in photos..

last of caddo

Like I said at the beginning of the Caddo post....Harper Jane was not feeling great..at.all.  There was lots of cuddling time for her:)

It's not Caddo unless there is a dead snake!

I feel the need to put it out there..this was not a poisonous snake...

Water balloon fun!!  Why is it that water balloons never get old!  the filling them up part does, but the rest dosen't!!

The burning of the shoes...Charlie has a tendency to be a bit dramatic..he gets it from his father.  Anyway, he has complained about his Nike shoes for a while now but I was not taking his good shoes to Caddo.  So one the first day when I put them on..he freaked out and complained.  I promised him if he worn them that weekend and didn't complain he could burn them the last day (these shoes were DONE!!  No way would Easton be able to wear them.)

So on Sunday..he burned them with a huge smile on his face!

Less then 5 min on the road home..

Saying they played hard would be a large understatement!

My nieces teased me about my outfit...I informed them they were jealous!! 

Two thoughts..

I always do duck face and peace sign when I am with Katie and Ada..I'm trying to convince them its a terrible idea..terrible!  Unfortunately, THEY KEEP DOING IT!!  This picture should be proof enough to stop the duck facing and peace signing!!!

This isnt how you pass your free time?

I've never denied my redneck roots...I'm a redneck and I'm training up my kids the "right" way!!! So. how do you pass time on your swamp vacations...well, we shoot stuff, classy, right.

Daddy taught Charlie how to shoot..and he may have gotten a black eye from putting his eye up to the scope, but most importantly..he nailed his very tiny target!!

Boys and guns=hours of fun

The girls even got in on it too!

Some were to little to get in on the shooting action so Daddy got to work building a project for them..or himself.  I'm never quite sure!

Harper Jane was a bit miffed that she didn't get cell service..

When the boys shoot, we sit around and talk..never gets old!

A little riding time

A little riding goes a long way at Caddo!  This was how we spent most of our time that weekend!

Easton must have been worried about some loud noise somewhere....notice hands over ears...happens a lot lately!!!

Very few ventured out to the motorcycle...it was mostly Joe and Adam giving rides:)

The 4 wheeler was a big hit..I even took off with my boys for a few rides and it was just plain nice!

 

Slip-N-slide at Caddo

There is a ton of things to do at Caddo..sleeping, eating, riding 4-wheelers, motorcycles, building bamboo forts, boat rides, killing snakes..the fun goes on!  But this year we busted out the slip and slide and that NEVER GETS OLD!!!

Even Harper Jane got in on the fun!

And to keep the classy going...might as well bathe them out here too!  Yes, we stripped them down and shampooed them up...classy..
